FESTIVAL
LE SOLEIL
13.-15.7.2007, LANŠPREŽ
On Friday one of the best ethno-jazz groups called Fake Orchestra performed on the big stage. The concert was outstanding. The small but very co-operative audience added a vibrant touch to the concert despite the chilly evening. The night was spiced up by comedians from the Improtentni group.
Saturday was divided in two parts - the afternoon and evening program. In the afternoon we could see the puppeteers from Lutkomotiva, young ballerinas - Sunflowers, and a play by the 'Društvo gluhih in naglušnih Dolenjske in Bele Krajine'. The evening program started with the performance of the Intakt studio in the old castle chapel, whose keepers are now the local bee keepers. After the show, the action moved to the main stage where the stand-up comedians of the Komikaze group entertained us. The musical part followed - we saw performances from the creative band from Novo mesto called Od Franclna Možgani and a young Slovene ethno-group called Chave te Chaja. When we talk about the program, we must mention, otherwise not so headlined, but definitely a crucial part of Le Soleil, creative workshops. They commenced on Friday and continued on Saturday and in the end of the afternoon program the participants showed us what they have learned over these two days and preformed on the big stage. Workshops were free for all who wanted to take part in them. Visitors could choose between theatre workshop, which was lead by Ruxandra Pandea, internationally acknowledged mentor, or music workshop that was mentored by Sedef, one of the best Slovenian ethno bends.
