YOUTH EXCHANGE - "STEREOTYPES THROUGH THEATRE" 19-28.62006, Castle Mala loka

In the end of June 2006 our organization, with the co-operation of EU, hosted a youth exchange called "stereotypes through theatre". The aim of the exchange was to explore and to talk freely about our own stereotypes regarding our own and other cultures.

With the help of different theatre techniques we've uncovered the truth about prejudices and explored different cultures and only then we were able to find how much we have in common. Theatre proved to be a good instrument which helped us realize and embrace our own narrow-mindedness.

To show our progress, we've made a short production that left a good impression on the visitors. There were present the young of Finland, Estonia, Italy and Slovenia on this exchange. Participants were really pleased with this experience, a clear indicator of the fact that there's going to be another exchange, this time in Estonia.
